Laura Veirs has taken 2018 by the horns with three new projects, and these aren't flimsy 'I'll go to the gym tomorrow' type new year promises, they're BIG.

Firstly, she's got a new album 'The Lookout', due on 13th April. It's her tenth! It's a concept album about the fragility of precious things and features guest vocals from Sufjan Stevens, Jim James, and Karl Blau.

Secondly there's a new podcast about the lives of musical parents. The first season of 'Midnight Lightning' features interviews with 14 mother musicians inclusing Corin Tucker (Sleater-Kinney).
