New Blood presenta a Rosie Carney en Madrid v Costello Club
At 20, Rosie has spent close to half of her life in the music industry, developing a debut body of work to be unveiled across the next year. She left school in rural Ireland at just 13 to showcase in New York and Los Angeles and was signed to a major before she was old enough to drive. Her later teen years were absorbed by twin struggles of asserting herself creatively in a larger system – ultimately leaving it all together - while facing her own challenges with mental health.
Throughout her youthful evolution, the one constant has been her songs, which play a dual role of being both cathartic and empowering, “Songs that feel lived-in and worn, conveying a bruised ache well beyond her years.” – NPR
